Each Lancero cigar is 7 1/2 inches long with a ring gauge of 38. 25 cigars are hand packed in a bargain cellophane bundle. Tony Alvarez is a Cuban Master cigar maker. He grew tobacco and hand rolled perfect cigars in Cuba for Monte Cristo, Romeo y Julieta and Cohiba. He then fled Cuba and while in Miami, Florida rolled for Don Tito, La Gloria Cubana and eventually started CAONAO cigars with his partners. Tony knows cigars so he sold his interest in that company and went to Esteli, Nicaragua to open his own small factory. His cigars are all totally made by hand, and many he makes himself. He only uses premium wrappers, binders and fillers. As in the traditional cuban cigar factory, cigars do not leave his factory until he personally inspects them. They are all top premium cigars. That is the only way that Tony knows how to make them.

Subject :: Love these Lanceros
I ordered the combo surprise and received a bundle of these with my humidor. I smoked one before I had seasoned my humidor and so they were a touch dry. Dark ash and hot draw for the first 1/3. Then it cooled down and the flavors became more pronounced, getting better and better to the end. After seasoning my humidor and letting these cigars rest in it for a week or two, I smoked another one. Wow what a difference after the cigars had become properly hydrated. Perfect burn from start to finish with a fine, tight, grey/white ash. And the flavor is superb. As with the first one I smoked, it had great flavor which transitioned at about 1/3 through and gets even richer and creamier. The next transition, brought in some leather hints as well. I absolutely Love these cigars and hope they remain available, as these will be an everyday smoke for me. I smoke these until I can\'t hold them anymore... they are that good! This was my fist bundle of these and i was really pleased with them. Great flavor, even burn and the price speaks for it\'s self. I have always liked the lancero size and these cigars deliver a one of a kind flavor profile. I would like to see tony make these in a maduro so maybe if we show an interest he will oblige.
